Get homeowners who have high intent and HEI education to bypass the mandatory product call in order to proceed with their application for an HEI by creating an engaging and educational 3.5 minute animation on Point’s HEI and designing a quiz.

This Product Video is about one of Point’s products called a Home Equity Investment, or HEI. Previously, homeowners had to schedule a product call in order to proceed with their application for an HEI.

A self-serve product call experiment uncovered a new segment of homeowners with high HEI education and high intent that prefer a self-serve option. I led the design direction on a new HEI Product Video, implementing a long term solution for a self-serve product call that achieved the following:

• Educated homeowners on: HEI overview, Risk Adjustment & Homeowner Protection Cap

• Set expectations of what happens next, establishing trust, delivering the best customer experience

• Allowed Point to scale with fewer Account Coordinators and Account Managers

• Aligned with Point’s brand as a market leader

• Contributed to a dedicated resources page for homeowners


PROCESS

For the video, I hired Vidico, and provided all art and design direction with the look and feel, storyboarding, color art and the entire video production process. I conducted research with the final product video through moderated interviews on Usertesting.

OUTCOME

• 30% of homeowners are opting for the quiz flow

• Account managers shared that the video does a good job educating homeowners and it makes their calls with homeowners easier and more productive

• Point is working on getting every homeowner in the flow before scheduling a call
